Invention 101 is about ideas that have taught us to do things in new ways. These ideas usually arrive out of necessity, and from laws of nature. This blog is not centered on the the advancement of technology - that is doing the same things faster or more effiently - but is mostly about those individuals who have invented new things and different ways of doing things. These new, novel ways, may or may not be faster or more efficient. In all cases they are useful and imaginative.

Rene Lacoste - Inventor of the Steel Tennis Racquet ... And More
In 1963 Rene Lacoste invented the first steel tennis racquet. Remarkably, Rene was a great tennis player in the 1920s, winning 7 Grand Slams.
